Evans Kayser
Army Aviator and Silver Star RecipientAn ROTC-trained helicopter pilot, Evans Kayser ’65 flew with Delta Troop, 3/5 Armored Cavalry in Vietnam. During a fierce 1967 engagement, he repeatedly returned under heavy fire to support trapped ground forces and escort medical evacuations. For extraordinary gallantry in action, he was awarded the Silver Star Medal.
