He led a dangerous helicopter assault, rescued soldiers under fire, extracted wounded troops, and used his aircraft to guide units through darkness and enemy fire.

Scout Dog Patrol Leader in KoreaBjotvedt, a Distinguished Military Student, led dangerous night patrols with the 65th Puerto Rican Regiment in Korea. Working with scout dogs that detected hidden enemy forces, he guided ambush missions through “No-Man’s Land,” helping protect his men and shaping a legacy of lifesaving canine service.
